The Department of Transportation announced last Monday, August 20, on their Facebook Page that the traffic woes of Malineos may soon be at an end as the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) along Coastal Road (Tambo Service Road) is 96% complete! Once operational PITX will become an intermodal transport terminal that will keep over 1,000 South bound provincial buses off roads of Manila which should help decongest the battered streets of EDSA.

According to the DOTr all they need to do is finish the PITX’s online ticketing and booking system and the assigning of RFID stickers to the provincial buses.

No final opening date was mentioned by the DOTr but it is expected to open before Christmas, 2018.
