Frederick Stanley made his tools for the “Builders and Protectors, for the makers and explorers, for those shaping and reshaping the world through hard work & Inspiration.” This dedication towards creating practical, meaningful products and services to make life easier by empowering people to do things better, safer and with greater work significance, led the company to a merger with another company that was just as dedicated to innovation and excellence – Black and Decker (Which was founded in 1910 by Duncan Black and Alonzo Decker).
