The Department of Transportation (DOTr) recently announced that, after 20 years of closure, the Philippine National Railway (PNR) will again ply a route from Caloocan to Dela-Rosa, Makati starting August 1, 2018.

For now, only six (6) trains will ply a regular route between the Northern end of Metro Manila and the country’s premiere business district. Each train has a carrying capacity of roughly 800 passengers. DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade expects the PNR-Caloocan-Dela Rosa line to become the most cost-efficient means of transportation, and expects that the line will service up to 10,000 passengers daily.
